Big Nature's Photographic competition 2010

SeashorePterophorus pentadactyla Shrimp

Do you consider yourself as a budding wildlife photographer?

Today with the easily affordable digital cameras available almost everywhere, most people have a chance to take stunningly good images. Why not try your hand at photographing the cities wildlife? Photographs must be of local wildlife found within Brighton & Hove and must have been taken in the past 12 months. There are two categories: under 16's and 16 and over.

So what are you waiting for? Get snapping now and maybe your picture of a beautiful blue butterfly, a pigeon over the pier, or a starfish on the seashore will be the best.

Send your photos to us at info@bigbiodiversitycount.org.uk but do check the photography competition rules (Opens a new window) first. Hurry as the competition closes 1 October 2010.

If you want inspiration why not visit the Wild Planet exhibition organised by the Natural History Museum, London and featuring 80 of the most spectacular images taken from Wildlife Photographer of the Year. The exhibition is in Brighton & Hove from 12th March to 26th September. For more information click HERE.

The winners will be announced at the Big Nature Conference, at Dorothy Stringer High School on Wednesday 10 November 2010. Prizes are to be revealed shortly.
